Purchasing & Shipping

Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible with regard to size and colour. The image you see online may show a difference due to slight variation between browsers, devices and screen settings. Any variation between the image represented and the actual artwork is not deemed a fault and slight inconsistencies will not be a valid reason for return.

Ordering

How is my payment handled?
Payments are taken through PayPal or Stripe in Canadian Dollars. You do not need to have a PayPal account to purchase; you can use the PayPal service to pay with your regular debit or credit card. We do not store any of your debit/credit card details.

Purchasing with a deposit
If you would like to purchase an original painting over $1000.00 you are welcome to purchase in stages. As the value of my work grows I understand this can be a helpful option. A 50% deposit is payable to hold your painting. The balance can be paid the following month or in 2 monthly payments of 25% each. Please contact me if you are interested in arranging this.

This is not a credit option, but an arrangement on trust, at no extra cost to you. Usual shipping costs and return policy will apply.

Paying by e-transfer
If you’d like to pay by e-transfer, which many Canadian customers prefer, contact me with your products of choice and shipping details. This saves me credit card fees 🙂 

Shipping

I have placed my order, how soon will I receive my painting?
Original paintings will be packed and shipped within 5 working days. Within Canada and the USA original pieces are sent by Fedex, CPS or other courier depending on size and weight.  Most Canadian deliveries arrive within 4-7 days from time of shipping. Please allow two weeks in total. If you need delivery by a specific date, please contact me first to make sure it can reach you in time. There may be an extra charge for rush deliveries according to your requirements.

I have placed my order, how soon will I receive my print? Prints will go into production immediately after you place your order. I do not keep an in-house stock of prints. The order processing time, which includes printing and preparing your print for shipping, typically takes four to six weeks from the date of your order. Within Canada and the USA prints are sent by Fedex, CPS or other courier depending on size and weight.  Most Canadian and USA deliveries arrive within 4-7 days from time of shipping. Please allow seven weeks in total. If you need delivery by a specific date, please contact me first to make sure it can reach you in time. There may be an extra charge for rush deliveries according to your requirements.

Can I collect my artwork from your studio?
Yes, if you live in Calgary or surrounding area, please contact me and we will set up a payment method so you can collect it in person. 

Is Shipping included?
Yes, most artwork has an estimated shipping cost included at checkout based on the size of the work and your location.
Note: At the current time shipping costs are varying significantly due to fuel costs, especially on air freight. If the actual cost of shipping is significantly more than quoted, I reserve the right to discuss this with you and to refuse the sale.

What about large or high value original artworks?
I appreciate this is a high value purchase – and a piece of work I have spent much time on! It’s important for both of us to make sure it is transported safely. Some couriers have limits on dimensions or what they will carry so certain pieces have individual requirements. This will be noted in the Shipping details with each product listing. Shipping costs for large original artworks need to be quoted individually – please contact me before purchasing. I will then contact you via email to discuss specialist shipping options before the artwork is despatched. If you buy online first in order to secure the painting the shipping cost will be billed separately after agreement.

Can you ship internationally?
Yes, I can ship to most countries, although it will take longer to arrive depending on your location. If your location is restricted once you get to the checkout you need a bespoke courier service. Message me with your details and the piece you would like and I can give you shipping options.

Overseas shipments (outside of Canada) may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. Any additional charges are at the customer’s expense. We have no control over these charges and accept no responsibility for additional charges.

Shipping costs contribute towards packing supplies, labour and transit fees. 

Returns

What if my painting arrives and I don’t like it?
I want you to be fully happy with your new painting, so I offer a Buy-Back agreement.

If an original painting is not as you expect, you have 14 days to contact me by email and request a refund. Once a return has been agreed, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery using the same service it was sent to you. Once the piece has been safely returned, I will refund your payment within 14 days.

Do you give a refund on prints if I change my mind?
All prints are custom made to the size you request. I don’t hold stock – each print is made for you. Please check the size is as you wish before you place the order.

What if my painting arrives damaged?
All work is carefully packed and wrapped. When your package arrives, please carefully inspect its condition. If any signs of damage are present, it is within your rights to examine the art before signing for it. Instead of refusing delivery, kindly ensure that the driver acknowledges the damage on the delivery note. Please retain the original packaging, including the box and foam corners. 

To assist us in addressing the issue, we kindly request that you submit 4-5 digital photographs of the box and any damage to the artwork via email to [email protected]. It is important to initiate a request for repair or replacement within 7 days of the delivery, including photographs of any relevant information displayed on the delivery box and the delivery note.

We are committed to handling your repair or replacement promptly and will contact you by email to provide you with the next steps in the process.

Please note that we are not responsible for any damage incurred during hanging or secondary transportation after the initial delivery. Therefore, we strongly recommend carefully inspecting each piece as soon as you receive it.

What about Overseas Returns?
At this time I am unable to offer a refund or return on any product(s) sent outside of Canada and the USA
